Barnet FC are pleased to announce a pre-season friendly against Wycombe Wanderers has been scheduled and confirmed for the upcoming 2025/26 season. The Bees will host The Chairboys at The Hive Stadium on Tuesday 22nd July 2025 with a 7:45pm kick off.
We look forward to visiting Sutton United for a pre-season friendly on Tuesday 15th July, kicking off at 7.30pm
First-half XI: van Sas, Grimmer, Allen, Quitirna, Casey, Leahy, Kone, Matton, Onyedinma, Lowry, Trialist-CM. Second-half XI: Norris, Hartridge, Boyd-Munce, Udoh, Tilley, Berry, Back, Skura, Bartolo, Cole, Hagelskjaer. Those in red were this summer signings Those in Blue were Jan signings That means we have now seen all the summer signings apart from striker Bradley Fink Of the Jan signings we still haven't seen Magnus Westergaard and Johnny Pettitt Good to see all (most) of the new lads out there. I wonder if any were impressive/crap Don't know about Matton. Thought he was released but obviously not (maybe not under contract but not found a new club yet?)
Wycombe Wanderers signed talented youngster Jack Matton in July 2024, with the defender having trained with the Chairboys during the second half of the 2023/24 campaign. Jack spent last term on a dual registration with Woking under-23s and Binfield, as well as being selected for the England under-18 schoolboys squad. See also Guy's post I've added him to the squad
The 3 that didn't get on were: Bartolo and from the Academy: Gurpinar Savage Gregory, also from the academy played the second half Westergaard finally makes an appearance Still no sign of Fink nor Pettitt
So yet again Dodds goes for one up front firstly Udoh then 2nd half Kone, think we'll have a difficult season with our defence coach in charge so Dodds out.
The way he sets up for Kone to play on his own up front has destroyed his confidence no wonder he looked poor at the end of last season and in our first 2 friendlies before the new season, what are the odds on Dodds playing a lone striker up front in our next friendly?
I was chatting to a friend who is a big PSG fan. Apparently the PSG manager said he would rather have 10 players who between them score 70 goals than one player who scores 30. That was his reasoning for getting rid of MBappe
