So with basically every away game selling out these days I'm going to try and track the sales of each with the idea that we'll be able to estimate what'll be required for future games. So for each game I'll record in this fred the following: Allocation Maximum points Starting points Sold out at Starting this now as our first away game is 5 weeks tomorrow which is roughly when we normally announce details. Sticking first two games here ready to be updated. Northampton (EFL cup) - 12/08/25 Allocation: 1535 Max points: 21 Start points: 11 Sold out at: Ipswich - 17/08/25 Allocation: Max points: 21 Start points: Sold out at:
Might need some help with this during the season particularly with when games sell out where there are multiple windows in one day. Would also appreciate if any announcements could be stuck in here if I don't get there first
How are the points allocated? Is it 1 point per away game from last season to start? If so where do the extra 2 come from, cup games?
Yep one per game and we had Everton and Cardiff in the league cup to make 21. It's technically just listed as games rather than points but same thing essentially. They then reset around new year so that only the current season counts meaning none of mine from last season will count towards Fratton They used to add them on at point of purchase but now it's done once the game has been played which is why the first two have the same maximum.
1535 tickets for Northampton. On sale to those with 11 aways tomorrow. Definitely going to this assuming I can finish work early.
After no aways last season I'll be looking to go over a couple of times this season. Zero point in trying ones to the Southern area of the country. Maybe thinking the likes of West Brom, Middlesborough, Coventry or Sheffield Wednesday. Wrexham Easter Monday be great but I'd imagine due to novelty factor I wouldn't have a chance there.
Obviously depends on how we're doing but I'm not expecting any midlands games to get past season ticket holders.
God the ticket site is ****. Trying to buy Northampton and getting an error that my 'cart contains products that can not be purchased together'. Literally cleared it 4 times and still happening. Gonna have to ring them and probably end up with **** seat now.
Worked on 11th try They need to sort this out though. Whilst inconvenient it's much less of an issue for the first sale window than it is further down and could lead to people missing out.
This happened to me last season too, but only from about February/March onwards. Maybe they did some sort of update and it triggered this They also kept telling me that I couldn't buy two adult tickets for away games because my Dad was 65+, even though the club sold him an adult season ticket at the start of the season... not the most sensible system
It's a terrible system. Remarkable that an organisation with our resources can't have something better. I've never seen this before but like I say they need to sort it. Imagine missing out on a Fratton ticket you qualify for due to an IT issue...
