And then you find out how much a campsite wants for you to put up your own tent. Most places are too much. At least up there you have the right to roam and wild camping is allowed.
In 2011 me and my other half went to Lanzarote all inclusive for a week in mid August for under £500 all-in on a package holiday. I know it was under £500 because I still have the credit card I paid it on and the limit is still £500 I wasn’t really eligible for a credit card as a student with no credit history or real employment history, I only got it because the local bank staff and manager had known me and my family for my entire life so the manager decided to override the process and approve it for me herself. The local branch is now closed but even if it wasn’t that kind of thing wouldn’t happen these days anyway.
£25-£30 a night with electric hook up. Compare that to anywhere between £500-£600 for a caravan for a Fri-Mon 3 night stay? We don't wild camp personally,Mrs doesn't fancy it,I'm not fussed one way or the other.
Yep, stayed on an old school site last year in South Wales, field with a toilet in a wooden box, where you just turn up, pitch your tent and someone comes round for cash in the evening. Even that ****er was £25 a night!
A lot of them up here are doing away with camping, better revenue putting caravans where the tent pitches were! Most we go to though have shower blocks and shop/Bar/Restaurant on site, although I do all the cooking myself on gas stoves..Love it.
Each to their own, I was 13 the last time I went camping, and won't be going ever again. That said I spent four nights on the floor of St Etienne train station in 1998, at least I was guaranteed to stay dry. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
not sure if it's printed elsewhere, but here's the players that flew out to Turkey Ivor Pandur Harvey Cartwright Dillon Phillips Callum Yam Lewie Coyle Cody Drameh Charlie Hughes Alfie Jones John Egan Semi Ajayi Cathal McCarthy Stan Ashbee Sean McLoughlin Ryan Giles James Furlong Ed Devine Steven Alzate Jonjo Shelvey Matt Crooks Regan Slater Gustavo Puerta Kasey Palmer Nathan Tinsdale Abu Kamara Reda Laalaoui Eliot Matazo Harry Vaughan Zane Myers Pharrell Brown Mason Burstow Tyrell Sellars-Fleming Kyle Joseph Liam Millar Mohamed Belloumi
Amongst everything else, interested to see how TSF and Myers get on here. Both young and play in positions we need more depth in.
Expecting Shelvey and Regan to be the two sitting with KP playing further forward. Vaughan on the left and Myers on the right with TSF up top. - Baz
It isn’t but it’s also not even our strongest forward line. No Kamara, Joseph or Burstow in that starting XI (that isn’t great either). No Alzate, Puerta, Hughes or Pandur either. I’m guessing because İstanbulspor play in the Turkish second tier that we’re putting a weaker team out today.
im hoping vaughan can step it up a level now its def his now or never season, at least with us realistically
