White square is what I meant and what we had in the past. Personally I think I that is vastly better than a built-in white panel. Means all purchased shirts look right regardless of which one is bought, minimises costs to consumer and ensures that match-worn shirts are easily readable. We’re always gonna struggle with a striped home shirt. If there’s a compromise to be made it should be on the club side imo.
This one looks off though as it's not even similar to what Brentford have with the stripes at the bottom etc, genuinely think it's a patch, I'm hoping they are describing it wrong. Would have made sense to do it red not white for me as the kit this year has solid red sleeves

Yeah this is what I mean. A square patch rather than something that is built in. That’s fine by me. Just need something that makes numbers legible. We’ve had that sort of thing in the past. Looks home spun but for a match shirt I honestly don’t care. Prefer that to a big expanse of white space that parents are forced to fill with a name and number. God forbid we end up with something like the dreadful black shield that the mags had that year. As for white versus red, it’ll always need to be the former so we can have black numbers and letters.
also, tbf for me, I'd want a panel with stripes at the bottom purely from a design perspective and still sell a fully striped back to fans. A panel looks so much nicer design wise than a patch to me. I'm very touchy with kits though haha
That’s just pure overhead and fan dissatisfaction. When the ‘wrong’ shirt is the only one available you’re knackered. Edit: unless you mean panel for match worn only, which is fine by me
It's what Brentford do mind, they sell an 'Authentic' version with the panel and then the replica, that has stripes
mehh see what it looks like, I trust them to make the best of the bad situation and might be able to do a update mid season - Napoli have about 6-8 kits per season these days haha
This is what I hope, update it mid-season. I'm a proper geek with kits so out like patches etc sends me on edge
Nowt looks worse than a panel shirt without numbers and name though - and I include a stick on square in that. All good though. I don’t get names anyway
