Diaz rightly wants a pay rise so expect his team to try and get some leverage for it, there are many players half his standard earning double so no issue with it. I’d rather he stayed and we renew on better terms.
Don’t think lfc are overly concerned about renewing. 2 years left he’s 28. Will be 30 when contract ends. No point giving him a 5 year deal now and doubling his wage and risk him falling off. Seems like not overly fussed if lose him on a free in 2 years or sign a new 2/3 year deal in a year or so on similar wages. Diaz side clearly see now as the last chance to get a big deal and only way it’s going to happen is to get a transfer.

He's on whatever we first gave him when he came from Porto, as he's still on his original contract. Everywhere I've seen says that's around 55k. Which sounds about right considering that's what we would have offered when he first moved to us.
