Meh, we got away with that absolutely blatant penalty shout against Santon.

It sucks but I can take it.

Seems to becoming like the dell, worst performance of the season (so far) and a defeat.

Yeah that was poor, but yesterday we looked like a team that didn't deserve to be in the Premier League and if anything 4-2 flattered us.

Aye, you played us at a brilliant time. Not so brilliant for us, mind <laugh>

No shame, we move on! 3 points next week to make up for it.

It was not a corner for me but it had no bearing on the end result. The better team won and would have regardless of whether that goal was given. Perch can't defend and was monstered for two of the goals, Gosling giving the other two away. Our defending was shambolic but you can't expect anything else with the injuries. Regardless of our lack of depth (which I have to say I was mocked pre season by many on here when I said we had a thin squad) has come back to bite us.

To be honest I accept that officials will have bad weeks. The process of improving our standards of refereeing is an ongoing process. The standards are better now than they ever have been, we just seem as humans a much more demanding moany bunch of sods. I prefer the rugby way where players and fans just accept it and get on with it.

Of course rugby officials have the benefit of communication equipment and a television match official that can watch a playback of any controversial decisions.

Giving officials the best opportunity to make the right decision, what crazy bastardos eh! To be honest goal line technology could have averted the one on Saturday. Saying that I do think as fans we need to be more appreciative of just how diffiicult a job it is. I've done the job of linesman and referee and found the whole experience rather ****e! I just accept that I love a sport that has, like any sport, always had its flaws.

I'll eat my hat if the method of goal line technology chosen allows for anything other than 'is it a goal?' calls to be made. Far too faffy to configure for goal kicks or throwins.

True. The problem does come with throw ins and corners like Saturday. I must admit I think the technology must be quick enough to allow for it but then I don't really know how it could work. Some games (whenever Stoke play for instance.......) the ball can be going out of play a lot. We probably will be stuck with goals only. However what are those officials behind the goal for, surely they could make a reasonably accurate call?

As I say I wouldn't even mind if it is goals only because I'm always happy to accept the rough with the smooth. I rant and rave at the time like any fan should, but once the game is done I just accept it can't change and the officials did their best.
