Kappa’s player spec shirts are so skintight so that they’re harder to grab and if they are grabbed, it makes shirt-pulling easier to spot by officials. That was also the reason for Puma’s horrible skintight shirts a few years ago (think Arsenal and Man City). That collar looks like it was designed for Chippendales.
I agree with OLM. The tiger print sleeves wouldn’t look as crap if they were set-in instead of raglan and the v-neck looks cheap and nasty.
Cheap and nasty....to maximise profit. I bought some of the kappa tracksuit bottoms a year or so ago. Within one wash the kappa logo was peeling.
I'm quite glad we've got a shirt to match what's going to be a pretty poor season to say the least. Bit like the last tiger stripe effort under McCann
The sleeve design itself is quirky but not the biggest issue. It would look better as a set-in sleeve. Unfortunately, raglan sleeves seems to be the default for Kappa kits. The v-neck collar just looks poorly-made. A black rib on the v-neck would make it look miles better.
From what I can remember, the 23/24 replica shirts weren’t that much looser than the player spec ones and lots of people complained how tight they were. The 24/25 shirts were apparently a lot more looser. I only have the black and gold anniversary one from last season but it fits true to size and the other ones from last season look a lot more forgiving on more rotund people. The 23/24 ones looked awful though. Lots of people said they had to go two or three sizes up.
The 23/24 player spec shirts weren’t flattering at all on Ryan Woods and Aaron Connolly. Outlined their love handles and beer bellies.
I agree with some of the comments above, but I don't think the kits are sold very well.... the images are not flattering, or well conceived.... it just feels last minute.... maybe the photographer was worried about getting paid? I do however like that the sponsor is the same colour as an element of the kit.
