I don't understand this "classy" stuff.

    It's basic decency.

They are Portuguese and went and did a decent thing.

What is classy then and what is crass these days. (Not saying it the latter either bte)

I think what the poster was saying (and I agree with, or I wouldn't have posted it here) was that the Portuguese element of our greatest rivals took the time and effort to show their respects to a former teammate. But fair enough; you can cynically view every aspect of grief, be it public or private, as being rooted in self-interest. "Virtue-signalling", to use that hackneyed, snide, one-eyed view of expressing any emotion of support.

Death does tend to bring out the namby-pamby side in some humans. We should be grateful that some in our society are above all that. :emoticon-0112-wonde

I just see a lot of people saying "classy" like as if doing something a decent person might is the definition of this buzzword.

I'm only actually talking about this buzzword. It seems to be applied to any action a normal.human being might take in the situation.

Fernandes went to the funeral. I'm sure amorim and dalot didn't do that so they did this. I very much doubt they did it for cameras.
