It seems that Udinese bought him for £5million and are sending him to us on loan. https://football-italia.net/udinese-watford-work-together-5m-kjerrumgaard/
Acceding to this chap allegedly Diallio wants to join Norwich but no fee has been agreed there . https://x.com/NCFC_Transfers/status/1943925010403323942 So either is the next Holebas or we move on.. Hopefully we have alternatives lined up ? 4 million did seem to be a risk .
Looks like another big Dane is on the way via Udinese ? https://x.com/LucaBendoni/status/1944485670354874663

I read somewhere that it was a loan with an obligation to buy - presumably once his visa problem is sorted out.
Well better be good then ! I think the visa issue was with Semedo rather than this guy but maybe they all need one ?
From the Wobby - "Visa reasons mean the highly-rated 22-year-old is likely to initially sign for Udinese and head to Watford on loan, but sources have clarified his immediate and long-term future lies at Vicarage Road." I have to admit that I don't understand what difference it makes visa-wise that he goes to Udinese first.
I 'think' it is because the visa is worked on a points system, and so the higher the league you play in for your club, the more points this gives you for your visa application. Playing in a better league means you are a better calibre of player and therefore better for the UK workforce so if you are a Ligue 2 player (and your current side was promoted to Ligue1) then if you wait until the season has started, you will no longer be just a ligue 2 player you will be a ligue1 player, and therefore score more points for the visa application. Semedo by signing for Udinese, would then be classed as a SerieA player (and score more points) when it came to the visa application for him, rather than the league the club is moving from is in of course the visa system does not matter when players move between EU clubs this is just my understanding, so it could be BS, but it does sort of makes sense to me
We never seem to do these things easily but if they are good enough then do be it . Sounds like the hold up with Diallo is pretty much for the same sort of reason . Paperwork.
https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/watford-and-southampton-chasing-transfer-for-ex-chelsea-defender/ The guy has a debrillator........ a risk?
Didnt stop Eriksen playing at Brentford etc after he collapsed a few years ago - and he was a lot older than this guy....sounds worrying, but i presume it would be find
Another winger linked - not sure if it's a permanent move or loan. https://x.com/LucaBendoni/status/1944849282814677009 We could have some good options out wide. Well certainly be better than Sissoko or having to play Georgi there.
Other sources saying it's a loan deal, and one says he signed a four year contract for a 4 million euro fee -but who knows? Not a bad player - only 19, an Australia international and scorer of some spectacular goals for Adelaide in the A-League. Spent the second half of last season on loan at Grasshoppers Zurich. Possesses blistering pace, so should make a few Championship defenders fill their pants...
