Borja Sainz has officially completed his move to FC Porto for £14.25m plus 20% sell on clause (Porto able to buy 10% of that clause back for £1m within 12months). Outstanding from Knapper again, great fee for a player with 1 year left on his deal, a lot of that figure is expected to be paid up front. Then to add a sell on clause to hopefully squeeze another few million out of the deal is an added bonus. Porto have put a €100million release clause in his contract, if they sell him for even half that we could gain almost €5m more from the deal. It’s a strange feeling with Sainz leaving, he was good in the second half of his first season and great for the first half of this season, was our top scorer and played a vital role in our early season form, but I can’t say that im too sad that he’s leaving. If he was on it he could win a game single handedly almost, but if his head wasn’t right it felt he could do the opposite. I grew increasingly frustrated with his defensive output and he had a tendency to try to do everything himself rather than play the simple pass, which was fine when he was sticking them top bins every week, but when he wasn’t he looked very selfish. A good player but not necessarily a good team player in my opinion, he goes with my best wishes
Good compilation video, but to balance any judgement a look at a Celtic point of view helps. Would they be looking for two new wingers if they were happy with Yang's play? With 3 years left on his contract, he won't come cheap and it would seem to be a gamble on him getting back to his best. https://celtsarehere.com/celtic-star-open-to-english-switch-amid-norwich-link/
Agreed, I think the compilation shows some good technical play, a decent dribbler with an eye for a pass, but he remains raw and there is an evident lack of final product. However he did seem to put the ball in to good areas at times. Questionable whether he would be a starting option but potentially a Hernandez replacement while the coaches work with him to improve, at 23 years old there is time/room for growth. The thing he looks to add for me is tenacity, i've not watched him play a game but he looked like he could be good at pressing the opposition
Yang could be another who has lost his way a bit, but has the potential to develop further. Like you, I like his tenacity and that appears to be a quality that Manning desires. It also seems that he's more of an orthodox winger as he's right footed but plays on the right wing. I'd also suspect that Celtic would want a replacement coming in before they let him go. It's also interesting that the Pinkun is very positive about our chances of hijacking Watford's deal agreed for Pape Diallo. That really looks to be an exciting prospect if it happens. The longer it goes on the more worried Watford becomes.
Regarding the replacements, it would appear that Celtic have already brought in 2 new wingers this window so Yang could be surplus to requirements
. Oh Yes,they're biting their Nails in Hertforshire. Theres actually such an abundance of talent already at WFC (say WFC), they're just looking at P.D because they ordered too much Kit and need to make use of one or two more. Problem for you Chaps could be if the Player has to choose between that Hotbed Of Crime -Norfolk and The Leafy Glades Of Herts Have a decent season though,Good Club there
You’ve just signed a winger from Bayern haven’t you? Do you think he’s coming in instead of Diallo or do you need a couple of wingers?
