I don't see how this makes sense, one of these scenarios holds true:

They keep and play both or rotate; they use the vast majority of their budget on an area that didn't necessarily need strengthening. Could see them struggle with all the games and lack of depths in CM/CB etc

They sell Isak and he's the replacement; Isak goes for 120m and they buy a CB but they've sold the best striker in the league

They definitely needed strengthening up front, they want to go deep in the champions league this year and to do that they will need an alternative to isak in case of injury - they view that alternative as important and are willing to spend top dollar.

Also lets them rest Isak in league and cup games too and gives the opportunity to play a 2 striker formation.

They will sign more than just ekitike.
