Really good four days of proper Test cricket (and one day of stupidity which I'll forgive and forget for now). Well done to both teams.

Great test match….India can consider themselves very unlucky with that last wicket, never seen someone get out like that before. Pure fluke in my opinion

i agree, although i believe the shorter forms (which i usually call mickey mouse formats) have helped sharpen fielding and other elements.

I've seen a few players out where the ball has spun back on the stumps (especially if played almost vertically downwards) but I've not seen one roll in an arc around the batsman's feet before. Mind you, spinners do get weird dismissals with players around the bat.

    gordon bleeping bennett!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

australia's 99 for 6 turned into 121 all out, leaving the west indies needing 204 run to win.

windies lost 3 wickets in the first over from mitchell starc without scoring a run. it's the 6th time in tests that a team has been none for three.

after four and a half overs they were 7 for 5.

five more deliveries left them 11 for 6.

a partnership of 15 took them to 26 where they lost three more wickets. the 10th wicket added one run.

windies all out for 27 off 14.3 overs. top scorer got 11. two scored 4, one scored 2, 7 didn't score (four went first ball). extras was second top scorer with 6.

starc took 6 for 9 off 7.3 overs - this was his 100th test; 1 for 32 in the first innings.
    hazlewood took 1 for 10 off 5
    boland took 3 for 2 off 2 including a hat-trick
8 maiden overs out of 14.3.

starc took his 5th wicket with his 15th delivery. that's the fastest five-for in test history. he also took his 400th test wicket.

this is the second lowest innings total in the whole of test history, only just better than new zealand's 26 against england in 1955.
the windies' previous worst was 47 against england in 2004.

top score in the match was 48. three australians had scores in the 40s; fourth highest was 24. the top windies scorer got 36; next best was 23.
