Ngumoha already looks like he's got more end product thst doak did at the same age.

Chiesa looks a little fitter. Still looks like a 40 year old playing Sunday league against half his age but does look a little fitter. Give him a full preseason and see if he can look like a 30 year old

Ngumoha looked very very lively. Absolute no fear in getting the ball to feet and run at the defenders.

Stephenson doing a nice job. That boy deserves a career. He's got in on his man and won anything he needs to as a cm who was stuck rb and now cb filling in.

Marmadashvilli is hard to tell much about in this context. Not much to do so far. Seems relaxed and unflustered at the least.

And Bradley gets goal 1 of 2025/26 preseason.

Could have been finished by 3 players.

Chiesa did well recycling another dribble by Ngumoha there.

Lovely footwork from chiesa to set up that goal.

Again Ngumoha creating the danger by being direct with his running.

I'd say chiesa has dropped a stone. Just another to go.

    Work him hard.

Is he a CB? Fails your height limit if he is. Looks more like a full back or right side in a back 3

    He's not a cb.

He's an average midfielder we signed off Sunderland.

We played him rb last year and then loaned him to Dundee where he did very well

He's only back after a hernia operation and playing cb and bossing it.

He deserves a club that will back him.cos he could make it as a player he is well physically able to go do it.

Could be a decent utility player if does well in pre season then covering Gravenberch in the 6 but also both defensive roles.

What you don't want in preseason is a ref who decided early that Preston could do what they like and then who adds on time at the end of the half

Decent little run out for the 11. No injuries.

Looking forward to seeing new full backs and who brings something to it.

    So nallo.

Last seen in senior football on debut where he got sent off after 10 seconds

Today. All over the place. As expected no miracle solution in the u21s

Hopefully he sticks at it amd doesn't dro0 his head

Frimpong amd kerkez look like people.who just met their teammates. Which is literally exactly what they are

Woodman has been quite good tbh.

    Ex u21 england world cuo.winner.

Distribution has been half decent for sure.

2-1 free header off a corner.

Ben doak trying to mark a big cb.

    Lfc have not learned then..

Nallo in the middle mis reads it and he doesn't win the big header the zonal system needs

Nunez step over, Gakpo "slots" it. And celebrates for jota.

Doak did well pressing up and takes ball off preston.

    3-1

Ref insists on adding on 2 mins for water break again

    Fun ref.

    No injuries. That's about it.

Kerkez has won the battle.of the full backs on the left, but Bradley won it on the right.

Ngumoha looked good for a 16 year old.

    Aside from that its routine

Think all 3 did well, albeit only in a friendly.

First friendly so can’t really gather much but initial assessment of a few squad / new players.

Ngumoha looks lovely. Good first touch and willing to drive at defender. Created a great chance for himself and shot was blocked. Involved in goal by driving into the box

Chiesa looked sharp. Great foot for the goal to get away and get cross. Could have had a goal when through but defender got back well.

Nyoni didn’t look out of place next to Grav and Szobo and kept it tidy.

Mamadashvili had nothing really to do. Came and punched a couple crosses.

    2nd half

Kerkez looked good. Couple very good tackles and got forward nicely. Got behind a couple of times and but for some better passes could have created a goal or two. Looks like Robbo of 6 years ago.

Frimpong didnt do much offensively. Got very high and wide at times but used his pace brilliantly a couple times defensively to get back and stop a counter or get out to his winger before had a chance to get ball under control and run.

Doak disappointed. Didn’t really get in the game and few times his first touch let him down under minimal pressure. Did well for the 3rd to win it and roll it across to Nunez/gakpo.

Woodman impressed. Prob too good to be 3rd choice when could be playing in Champ. Made a very good save, no chance with the goal and his long distribution was very good. Did get caught on ball couple times but looks a solid 3rd choice.

Overall, good run out. Few front players put their hands up to be included for rest of pre season.
