Nah we got the shuttle in the end (crappy organisation at the start as we were told you don’t need a wristband if you have the shuttle ticket in the app and then told you do when they opened the queue) brilliant organisation at the end when you see the fleets of busses taking you back to the centre, didn’t get back to the room until midnight Get in there early we stood in the middle section in general admission. as for my ankle it constantly collapses. Losing weight so hopefully it will become less and less
Aye we haven't booked the shuttle yet like. Not sure what to do. Trams look a bit busy but could just go the opposite way for 1 stop and switch to come back on yourself and miss the queues. Seem people getting upgraded to front standing through the Northgate entrance, so might do that. Or at least try. Aye, it will help, losing a bit of timber pal.
The staff are brilliant, they stopped us cos we were goi to walk straight into the back section and she said you won’t be able to come back out and pointed to all the bars and food bits for our middle section. ps we Richard Ashcroft mate, he absolutely blew us away. Really feels like Cast, Ashcroft and Oasis were proving a point
Big fan of the verve mate so I'll be there for that. Not arsed about cast at all, seem them before and not into them. Will probably arrive in time for Ashcroft.
I love dicky ashcroft and cast so al be in early doors like. We got front standing too. Cant wait now bet it was tremendous last night mate
I did the Verve comeback tour years ago and fell asleep standing up two rows from the front lol the Mrs wasn't impressed. Our lass fancies Ashcroft, so I'll be in early on next Saturday.
I was front standing on Friday and it was great, not too crowded either. We went in through the South Gate which isn't too far from the cross roads on the way in. Make sure you get there early though as they're only giving wristbands out to the first 9k people. Whole section holds 11700 but theirs a VIP bit in there as well where Pep Guardiola was Friday night lol. We got there for half 3, found our place and just sat down til Cast came on. Above info for @Prehab26 as well. My tickets were front standing but I do think others managed to get in if they got there early, so definitely worth a try mate.
Good to know. Cheers fella. Think I might try that then. Otherwise it's stay in the bars and head in a bit later when cast and that are on.
Theirs plenty bars to the left and right of that section as well and never really took long to get served either so you'll be good for keeping your beak wet
We’ve just realised we were given front standing bands thought others looked like they had different bands. Never mind though the middle section was brilliant as well
I checked my bank account and some arshole hacked my card and spent 200 quid on red wine, naan wraps and cocktails. Funnily enough everything me and the missus like….
Like a purple colour? Shame mate but main thing is you enjoyed it. They were amazing weren't they and I loved Richard Ashcroft as well. Oasis and Verve 2 of my favourite bands so I was like a pig in ****
Aye ! We went early cos I was nervous about the queues for the shuttle so we were the first bus dropped off. I can’t get my head around seeing two legendary figures in one night mate. Ashcroft was really having it ! And drugs don’t work was spellbinding
Yeah he was quality as well wasn't he. Everyone around us singing all the classics and finishing off with Bittersweet Symphony, amazing. He was having a bit crack with the crowd as well. Said he ****ed up his anniversary so had us all shout happy anniversary Kate before singing Lucky Man which he wrote for her. And then at the end he was saying he's just gonna make a career out of introducing the best band in the world... Oasis Was a class night mate and glad you enjoyed it as well and I'm 100% certain those waiting to go will as well.
Elite bands/artists also have very long and good songbooks which in my opinion Oasis have, being a 70’s lad of music upbringing they are the only band since then to make a really big impact on the music industry in my eyes, that’s why I made a effort to see them at the SOL in 2009, pissed off that I’ve missed ELO and Stevie Wonder at Manchester where my son lives, another two elite artists
