I agree... Ekitike fits the bill in terms of age and profile, but unfortunately not price. I love that these great journalists don't know who else is on the list.

He has an 86 million release clause so that simply isn't going to occur.

We maybe don’t need to pay the full whack.

I would imagine someone or more than one will be sold. Barnes would fetch a decent amount for example and we know longstaff might go.

The obvious one track minded conclusion will of course be Isak, but that's just an argument from ignorance Liverpool fans will adopt because they simply want it to be the case. I mean, it could be, but there's numerous other possibilities.

Maybe the owners have finally found a loophole (following Chelsea's 'punishment' of earning around £100m from the club world cup and Man City's failed 'charges') and thought fook it, let's just go for it. Hence all these random links.

Elanga, Ekitike, Wissa, Scalvini, Guehi/Thiaw, Trafford, Gallagher.

Buy the lot. Maybe even a full back too.
Sell Longstaff, maybe Barnes. Released Wilson.

Then really challenge the big boys.

    Well, we can hope.

There are still 4 or 5 spots without names and photos on.. I'm pretty sure the reported aim was 4 or 5 signings.

Gallagher would also make sense, does a bit of everything, not a bad player and for around £30m it's a good price for a backup. Don't think it'll be Ekitike, I have a feeling that's a smokescreen for someone more left field - again, Lois Openda is a name I got thrown from a German lad. I think Adeyemi is also fairly flexible. I can also see us sounding out Barca over Ferran Torres. But the ambition appears to be picking up.

Be nice to see the GK and RCB sorted, mind.

Gallagher is no better than longstaff. He was the main reason why Chelsea struggled and now Atletico have very soon realised he just huffs and puffs.

Soon I’d try and get in now, he’s an incredible player. But not going to happen. I’d be happy with someone lesser known but it’s irrelevant really as we just need to focus on RCB, CF, GK and then maybe fullback cover plus a midfielder.

I think the Coventry midfielder is a better option than Gallagher tbh

Yeah makes much more sense..... He a bit of everything and will find our front 3 and get them running at the back lines. I think he's the player that can fill the Joelinton void and the other two when required.
