2nd half basically a new match. We already look a much better team. Much more energy and application. Castellon struggling a bit with our pressure now.
5-0 (or 1-0) against the run of play. Many players claiming it was offside. Cross tapped in. The officials haven't been great so far, although not that important. Obviously, I can't tell if it was actually offside.
Ha! We were absolute rubbish, reminiscent of Gareth Ainsworth pre-season friendlies. Think Richard's 2nd half saved attempt on goal was our only one on target. The only fit striker Cellar did nothing. We looked weak in midfield which Cas bossed, especially 1st half when Field and Vale played, the former well off the pace. Same at right back 1st half with Bennie there. Walsh had a mare in goal.
Hopefully this has made the team realise this isn’t a holiday. More embarrassing than anything else at this stage.
Yes, good word, embarrassing. Especially after last week's ''euphoria'' of beating Stevenage. Fans' reaction to that was equally as embarrassing. Nothing to see in either anyway, as they cannel each other out.
A reminder of my post on 19th June: I have never rated this Stephan (Frenchy) bloke his tactics and the way he underutilises the squad or his choice of shirt. Just thought I'd get in before you this time around, Stroller. Remember where you heard it first.
Observation from someone who didn’t watch the game……. but has read the comments. “Played like rubbish” Summary- Possibly playing for the Ainsworth Cup. Zan Celar - Pronounced ‘Stand Clear’ of goal…… which he did. Summary - His name is a red flag, should never have been bought. Getting smashed for 6 - After punching above our weight last week by beating Stevenage in such emphatic form last week, we have decided to holiday at Castellon’s delight. New Manager- He too has enjoyed this week’s holiday in Castellon so much, he almost forgot to field a team and when he did, he wondered why he did so in the first place. Summary - The team are yet to understand the many meanings & hidden tactics from the new managers’ finger pointing. A larger pair of bar-coded hands might be needed in the future. Fans - R’rsss fans have a high level alcohol intake which my be pressured to increase over the coming season.
Six of the best, in my day something you definitely didn't want to receive from the headmaster. This afternoon, before the Wrexham v Halifax U21 squads played, Halifax played the local Saint John team (much lower league level). Now Halifax had already beaten Wrexham twice, The obviously outclassed Saint John squad went 2-0 down, but with grit & guts they pulled the match back to 2-2 before succumbing to a 6-2 score. Grit & guts are attributes that our current squad with a new manager appear to be sadly lacking.
