    Read the book a few weeks back...and so compelling and well written now on the sequel.

    ....and we saw the film yesterday.......

    I am glad i started with the book....

    This is a bit left-field, but I watched the first episode of The Chinese Detective the other day. Really enjoyed it. From 1981, so there's bits that are uncomfortable, but Alan Ford is superb.

    Jason Salkey - From Crimea, With Love.

    A warts and all telling of the making of the Sharpe series of TV films. A lot of things make a lot of sense now...

    That’s him. Good performance for 1981. Sweeney style script. I enjoyed it.
