would have assumed Trey would be ahead of them so maybe they’re with the u18s doing whatever they’re doing
They were playing for the 21s last season while a lot of those lads were with the 18s.

I reckon they're LW and RW backups for the main team today which is great to see.

Trey seems to want to go so I think is with the rejects. Or of course more minutes for a loan.

Pembele likely with the first team to play one half at full back because we’re obviously light on them

Hume, Huggins, pembele and one more
We have a young fullback called Jones, can't mind his 1st name - womder if he's maybe with the 1st team instead of pembele

Yeah. At that time, we shelled out , what was seen as big money for him. Compared to other deals done etc. He has played little due to injury, but similar to Huggins, they rate him so much. If he is fit enough, and shows match fitness he will get a really good look I think. Obviously, if little injuries creep in due to inactive time, they may have to loan to build up match fitness etc. But as I said, I'd be surprised due to how how have highly he is rated.
My thoughts exactly and even more so for Huggins who I really like.

A bit on why we didn't sign Henderson

...Sunderland’s recruitment team were aware of Henderson’s likely availability at the start of the summer, and have been monitoring his situation throughout the last couple of months.

However, with Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki already having been recruited to strengthen the central-midfield ranks, the Black Cats hierarchy decided against offering Henderson what would have been an emotional return to his hometown.

The presence of Dan Neil and Chris Rigg in Sunderland’s midfield mix was also a factor, with Sunderland officials not wanting to hamper the development of two of their most promising young players.

Sunderland's sporting director, Kristjaan Speakman, was aware of the emotional pull behind bringing Henderson back to the Stadium of Light, and the veteran midfielder's experience and leadership qualities would potentially have offered something in a squad that, on the whole, remains extremely young.

However, senior sources claim there was a determination to ensure 'heart did not rule head', with Speakman having been involved in the unsuccessful decision to offer Jermain Defoe a second spell as a Sunderland player.

In the end, it was decided that Sunderland should look to the future rather than the past, hence the move for alternative, much younger central-midfield targets.

Henderson was made aware of his boyhood club's decision, and having turned down a series of alternative offers including a firm approach from Porto, the North-Easterner has opted to join Brentford, who finished in tenth position in the Premier League next season....
Tremendous news, that's Neil and Rigg signing new deals for sure. Over the moon. Roll on Shields

Hhhaaa'wwwwaaaaayyyyyy the lads

Actually maybe Huggins isn't fit, 2 left backs missing from the reserve teams. So Jenson Jones and Bainbridge might play

Massive shame if ovunsuyi wants away, we’d give him a shot before Liverpool. Can’t keep them all though
