I can't work out whether his Man U team mates made him look better than he is OR the Sunderland midfield doesn't give him as many options. Either way some of his short passing is currently terrible.
I agree, O'Shea was bad and has not had a good showing yet !! He always needs too much time on the ball, and he's never gonna get that anywhere outside of a top 5 side. His ball delivery is poor, and reminds me of Nyron Nosworthy ........... only not as good !!! He needs to warm the bench next to the St Johns Ambulance staff if you ask me......... he should only come on in an Emergency !! Rubbish.
I said when we were after him, jack of all trades, master of none, have never been impressed with him if i am being honest about it, just hoping beyond hope he proves me wrong, and the sooner the better.
God he made me scream at the TV, he just couldnt pass anything today. Im sure he will get better though with a little MON magic and he has to, Spurs next and boy they will be better than the retreating shower we beat today, we got a little lucky with their injuries because being forced to keep the Yak on it was like playing 10 men lol
O`Shea was out worst player today but you never know give the gaffer a few weeks training him he might come good. or MoN could try to get Samba in January he was outstanding today
Looks like his days are numbered in the paper talk is to be believed. Don't normally buy the usual 'manager returns to raid his old club', but one of the red tops was suggesting O'Neill returning to Villa for Carlos Cuellar, Richard Dunne, Stylian Petrov and a n other (Forgotten!). Not sure about Dunne any more, but on today's showing, O'Shea should be looking over his shoulder - more times than he did today.
Still don't think he was as bad as some are making out. Couple of stray passes. If you went by what was shown on MOTD he was close to our best player.
Mackem, Just watched 35 mins highlights on sky. he didn't make one bad pass. Over 90 mins he was awful. Probably made 1 pass in 5. He was shocking mate. (and thats being kind)
Samba has always attracted a lot of outside interest - Arsenal in particular. I don't think he'd be cheap.
No way will SAFC get Samba....like you say, far to expensive... As for O'Shea, wouldn't write him of yet....as the alternatives are?
O'shea was bloody frustrating yesterday I have to admit. His passing was pants. When he did actually find one of our players they were usually two yards away from him with a Blackburn player hanging out their arse.
I always rated O'Shea an average player in a very good side when at United. He has been truly woeful for us. The starting line up i picked for this game was identical to the team that started barring Whickham for Noble, but, if i were picking the side next week O'shea would be out, and not on the bench either.
