I think the Premier League will be a really good competition this year. Chelsea look to have bought well and are starting to look more settled as a team, Spurs have also strengthened and I am sure Frank will address their defensive failings. Liverpool will have improved and City will be desperate to compete this year. For the others it depends very much on remaining transfer activity in this window.
Palace are told they can't play in Europe despite winning the cup. He's upset. I feel for their fans tbh, stupid they don't get any play and I'd be gutted. Edit, 3 words: Too Long; Don't
Yeah, it's **** for the club, players and fans. First major trophy in years and can't compete in the associated UEFA tournament. But equally, the owners knew all this... and... well... Simon Jordan. Oh well.
City/Girona created a split and put in to a blind trust although in my opinion still dodgy as Peps brother has part ownership. RBL and RBS are two completely separate entities. Palace missed the deadline to create a blind trust as they believed that Textor has less than 50% in palace so no real say. The should have just put in to blind trust at the time.
Or the reality is they probably thought they had zero chance of being in Europe and never in a million years expected to win the cup so didn't bother following the rules.
