Looks very nice... AI Overview The image shows Penarth Pier in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. Penarth Pier is a Victorian-era pier opened in 1898. Women's Wimbledon final about to start on BBC. No idea whose playing but will watch it, even once I know their names I still will not know who they are.
Well that was over quick: 6-0 6-0 to the Polish girl The most one sided game you are likely to see - Altthough the American carried on and put a brave face on it at the end, I think she'd called it a day mentally due to the heat on centre court. She didn't seem ready for it when they came out and her opponent looked all hyped up.
Hopefully she'll bounce back - that is an incredibly humbling experience (could have used stronger language) .. poor ****er...
Her opponent was just on fire from the start, not being rude but she even looked more athletic and able to cope with the heat, sounds a terrible thing to say, but at this level the same with any sport you've got to be 100% on your game, otherwise these outcomes happen. To be honest 2/3rd's the way through I think the American just wanted to be put out of her misery, but fair do's to her for seeing it through, unlike that other young kid (forget her name) who cops out half way through a game. Take the battering and learn from it.
I respect her for just seeing it out, and actually doing it with a smile at the end. Raducanu was the other tennis player I was thinking of, not much time for her.
