I didn't know the return numbers were that low a percentage. How do they work out which 5% to send back.

A Rwanda type scheme worked for Australia. Germany were considering using Rwanda as well, putting the illegals in the buildings the UK paid for, don't know how far that idea has advanced.

The recent report on the French police slashing a dingy, is that a one off being filmed to make it look like the French police are active, or will they do that all the time.
There must be some favourite pick up places from Calais area and to the left for shortest channel crossings, they don't want a longer route in an overfilled ramshackle boat, it's not like the police have to patrol the whole coastline.

None of the above like on Brewsters Millions. :emoticon-0160-movie

Where do we actually go from here though..
I remember Saf saying ages ago that if something isn’t done they will end up in real camps ( I think he meant caged in with barbed wire around them )
The public won’t put up with this for ever and then the government will have to find something.

    Yes.

Seen the news before in Northern Ireland, with the bonfire burning the effigy of the boats.

I think they've found out why the tories struggled and wrecked everything. I trust in Starmer to explain what they eventually manage to deliver, or, believe he'll have the balls to walk - as opposed to the tory ethos of bluffing his way until the next GE.

Tory failure has opened ths door to Reform. We really cannot allow them to get in, or have any sort of power base. The tories look light years away under Kemi, and to an extent Starmer gets an easier ride because of that. But he has to stop with the own goals and govern like he has a plan. He should still get another term, bit he has to reset back to Labour principles and stop seeming at least to attack those who need help.

On tv , a reporter was in woods “ next to a beach “ where immigrants were hiding until the dinghy appeared . Reporters also know that the boats launch on rivers then sail along coast to pick up point. If reporters can find them , surely the French with all the money we’ve handed over can employ a team of drone operators to spot them in the river, call in a response team and destroy them before they get any where near the passengers ?

That is an inexpensive and easier option than damaging the boats when people are already on board.:emoticon-0148-yes:
