He's decent. Patto is decent, and has more improvement in him IMO. It's not a night and day thing, and we don't have rivers of money. He just wouldn't be a big enough upgrade for what they want for him.

I think Ramsdale is a very good keeper, definitely of premier league standard but he’s chosen some poor moves and played behind some absolutely **** sides. I don’t think there’s much value in him, he’ll be around 18-20m and I think we can almost certainly do better.

 

Assuming if we do sign Cresswell we’ll still be in the market for a lcb? Is it two loans per squad or just from the prem?

 

Think we can have up 5 loans. Not sure on the numbers exactly from what league.

The fee is not Ramsdale's fault, though of course he signed the hefty contract implied by it. No one is paying what they paid, or close to it.

Don’t think he’s particularly a bad player, just nothing about that signing would fit how we usually operate. High fee, English premium and not exactly going to improve very much.. presumably just agent talk
