Looks unbeatable makes it look so easy although the other day when he beat Van de Poel in the Sprint, on the final hill even he looked as though he was running out of gas at which point Jonas caught up with him
Van de Poel in the breakaway today....could be an interesting one if other teams don't work in the peleton, tho suspect Pog doesn't see VDP as a GC competitor tho
And now 4 mins ahead, VDP has the leaders jersey maybe there is going to be a fight for the jerey and its not all Pogs
He may well let him have it, if he doesn't see him as a threat, takes pressure off the team for a few days at least to ride hard and at the front of the peleton.....but.....he also wants to win everything so who knows!
Ben Healey makes a break for it...24 miles from the finish line and wins by 2mins and 40 secs, or thereabouts...Some ride. Now in the GC shake-up. Top Brit today...Simon Yates in 5th..
The Marco Pantani documentary is worth a watch if you can bear the sub titles . Appears he was tested for drugs with dubious results as he kept on winning. Accusation was that the organisers wanted him to throw a couple of stages so other heavily sponsored teams could get a look in
Well so much for "maybe there is someone to challenge Pog". Wins again today. Unbeatable Jonas seoond and Onley third.
Oscar Onley is doing the most amazing tour... a few top 10's already leading a miniature team Picnic Post NL, who haven't got. sprinter or a climber... in short, as team leader he is stealing a wheel off the leading groups to get a position.
See Almeida Pogs super. domestiiqe started today after being involved in a big pile up yesterday. He is riding with a fractured rib-holy cow.
Oscar Onley looks to be a real prospect, he needs to improve on his time trialling, and yet to see how he does in the mountains, but so far so good.
I see this is ITV's last year of covering it, I always like watching it, so hopefully it will be accessible on another channel. I must say their coverage has been very good over the years.
