See that's Chris Rigg and Mayenda for me. I still want these lads to play a lot of football for us. An actual 10 is such a luxury that I don't see us ever playing next season, even if we're chasing a game.
Maybe. My gut feeling is Rigg plays deeper but could be wrong. I think Mayenda will get time as the 9. All forwards will get time I reckon
Cant quite believe what is happening with us. Magic Carpet Ride got a huge turbo boost. Massive value in getting these players in so early too. Huge. For me though, best business today looks like the coaches. That looks a really elite setup to me. I messaged someone about Cutler last night and he could not have been more glowing. Reckons the improvement he can get from keepers is unreal. As a daft aside. I was in a meeting with a supplier this morning, from Amsterdam. My study wall is adorned with Sunderland memorabilia including a couple of framed signed shirts. The lad asked if it was Sunderland and we had some banter. He ws Ajax. I asked about Hendo and he said he wanted him to stay and he was important to them. I said we were getting him and he said no chancd he leaves them. 2 hours later he has left Poor bugger. Interesting though an Ajax fan doesnt want him gone...
On Henderson - the athletic say he has a number of offers across England and Europe and will make his decision in the next few days.
And he was the poorest of them all sadly. It was painful watching him try to turn, let alone run. At that time we had arsed about with Keane and I honestly thought Speakman was lost. What a transformation in him since then. This is elite level stuff and I am giving him his share of credit. This isnt all Ghisolfi by any means.
Have a feeling we might try and go big on a CB and GK such a crucial cogs in our team Already showed signs of doing it with a GK, can imagine we have a few surprises in mind for CB

Rodon, Struijk, Bogle, Aaronson, James, Gnonto all have PL experience. We’ve spent wisely so far, the marquee signings still to come *hopefully*. The PL is so different to any other league, it’s impossible to say how any overseas players will handle it. Most Leeds fans are remaining grounded, expecting a slog, there is certainly a lot of excitement over here. Am I concerned about Farke - Yes but he really wasn’t backed by Norwich and I still wouldn’t swap him for your coach, I honestly think the PL is going to shock him, didn’t he get a team relegated in France?
Yeah mate. Earlier today. Vulcano in, ex Pioli right hand man. Cutler. Also an analyst ex of Barca when they were winning trebles. Like I say, an unreal setup. Would give my back teeth to watch them buggers work for a week.
I’d like that balance too but I agree with FG that we don’t have room for another pure winger. If we could get an Elliott type who is comfortable in multiple roles - or a left footed striker who can double up out wide - then it’s probably a different matter. Think another pure winger isn’t good use of resources though.
