Apparently, we're heavily linked with this guy as well. Really pleased to see that we're trying to do things differently when it comes to overseas signings. The 6' 3" tall, 24 year old central midfielder has played 6 matches for Gambia, scoring one goal. He currently plays for Austria Wien. Below are a few clips of the player, who appears to be pretty fast and powerful midfielder.

Portsmouth Football Club are delighted to announce that teenage forward Harry Clout has signed his first professional deal.

He made his senior debut back in January, coming off the bench in an FA Cup third round contest at Wycome.

John Mousinho also named Clout among the substitutes for Championship games against Luton, Middlesbrough and Bristol City.

Scholars Cody Howard, Jayden Keteku, Connor May and Luke Staight have not been offered new deals and will leave the club.

Academy manager Greg Miller said: “I’d like to wish Cody, Jayden, Connor and Luke the very best for the future.

“We are also delighted that, in the elite level of a Championship football club, we have witnessed strong performances and progression from Harry and, as such, he has been offered a professional contract.

“It tops off a great season that saw him make his debut at Wycombe in the FA Cup and while he deserves the plaudits, I’d also like to make a special mention to all the academy staff who have helped him reach this point.”

Blues boss John Mousinho said: “Harry impressed when he joined up with the first team last season and is a promising young player.

“This professional contract is thoroughly deserved and we’re excited to see how he develops with us in the coming weeks and months.”

We need an Under 21/23 team to bridge the gap between the academy and first team, and also enable young guys signed like Blair to develop their craft. By the beginning of the season, I would imagine the squad size to be around 30, so.that means 12 full time professionals kicking their heels for large chunks of the season each week.

Ryley Towler has departed Fratton Park to join League One side Lincoln for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old centre-back made 45 appearances for the club – scoring four goals – after signing from Bristol City in January 2023.

Arguably his finest moment in a Pompey shirt came the following month, with a brace in a 3-1 home victory over Bolton.

Blues boss John Mousinho said: “Ryley was popular with fans, players and staff alike, so we’re certainly sad to see him go.

RUMOUR: Pompey interested in free agent, Grady Diangana, aged 27, a 5' 11" tall attacking midfielder/winger, who has been released by West Brom. He has made 162 appearances, scoring 18 goals for WBA, as well as being capped 8 times by DR Congo.
Glasgow Rangers are also apparently interested in the player.

Inevitable, but I am sad to see him go. from what I saw of him I thought he showed the ability to step up to championship level. whilst probably not one of our two favoured central defenders when all are fit I thought he was pushed further down the pecking order than he should have been. It is an open question as to whether McIntyre was better than him as it is with Matthews.
I thank him and wish him very well indeed. I hope he gets the regular first team football he deserves - and, if he does, i am sure he will flourish.

As with Towler, Tom Lowry's exit was inevitable and has been since he was not registered as a Pompey player last year. When fit he showed energy and commitment in mid field and had an excellent first touch. If he can remain injury free I am sure he will succeed. Again I wish him well and thank him.

Tom Lowery has signed a two year contract with Scottish Premier League Kilmarnock. Very talented player, but appeared to be somewhat injury prone. Wish him all the best at his new club <cheers>

Adil Aouchie who was on loan to Pompey from Sunderland last season, has joined Kusini Yengi at Aberdeen on loan for the season, with the option of a permanent move end of the season for around £1.5 million. Seemed a decent young player, but not consistent enough for us to spend that kind of money!

Pompey are running the rule over former Crystal Palace and West Brom defender Nathan Ferguson, who has linked up with John Mousinho’s squad in pre-season, in Slovakia. The 24-year-old, who can play as a left-back or central defender, has been joined by 30 year old keeper Stuart Moore, who was in Pompey's academy up until the age of 16 when he left for Reading. He recently left Morecambe, and it is understood to be a replacement for Toby Steward who has joined St. Johnstone on a season long loan. Apparently he is 'making up the numbers' only out in Slovakia.

Little surprised about this one........He played 41 times last season..
Matt Ritchie is reportedly on the verge of leaving Portsmouth for the second time in his career, just a year after making his return to Fratton Park, according to The News.
The 35-year-old is said to have been told by John Mousinho that he can’t be guaranteed regular playing time in the Championship next season, despite seeking assurances over his role.
Ritchie has not travelled with the squad to their pre-season training camp in Slovakia. Instead, he has remained in England as he looks to secure a move elsewhere in hopes of playing more regularly in the final years of his career.

Toby Steward has joined Scottish Championship side St Johnstone on a season-long loan deal.

The 20-year-old keeper has previously spent time with Bognor, Salisbury, Gosport, Tonbridge and Wealdstone.

A graduate of the Pompey academy, he then impressed during a stint with Crawley in League One at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

Blues boss John Mousinho said: “This is another important step in Toby’s career and gives him the opportunity to play first team football at a decent level.

“He is someone with so much potential and we’ve been impressed with his development over the past few years, so are excited to see what he can achieve during the forthcoming season.”

St Johnstone will be looking to make an immediate return to the Premiership following their relegation last term.

Steward could make his first appearance for the Perth-based club when they host Falkirk in a friendly this evening.

Just read that 30 year old 6' 4" tall keeper Stuart Moore has impresses goal keeping coach Joe Prodomo so much, that Pompey are now considering signing him as a free agent to add to the squad whilst Toby Steward is on loan to St. Johnstone. His elder brother Simon is currently reserve goalie at Sunderland.
Strangely enough, I used to work with their father Phil, at a company based on the Isle of Wight - he was also at one time a goalie in Pompey's academy !!

Pompey have told central midfielder Abdoulaye Kamara who we signed last Summer from German club Borussia Dortmund, that he can go! We apparently paid something between £500,000 and £1.4 million for the player.

He only played 5 times for us last season, so was hardly given an opportunity to impress. Still only 20 years of age, why on earth can't we loan him out to a team in say League One next season, to see how he performs?

Stupid business to begin with, particularly as there was nowhere for him to develop his skills. Pompey won't get any money back as it is impossible to assess his value!

I am off to support PSG this season until Pompey make it worthwhile for me to return!!
