Yep. He has no interest in playing football. Just wants money. Can’t believe we had him and Salisu as CBs at the same time. How bad luck is that?
Very clearly a rotten apple. Shame to lose money on someone that looked so promising at one point but I think it's the right call. Free transfer with a sell on clause if probably the best we could hope for.
Fair enough. To be so definitive there must have been a club or 2 that have expressed interest. Just hope they hurry up with it.
He’s still young. Has been in German squads and clearly has some talent in there if you can sort him out. Probably worth £5m or something to someone. But yeah, priority has got to be to get rid this summer even if it’s below what we think he’s worth.
Yeah talent isn’t the issue with him, remember lots of people singing his praises in the first half of the 22/23 season. Clearly has an attitude issue with being here so time to cut ties. I don’t recall his attitude being question at his previous club from the stuff I read about him when he signed, but from memory it was a similar situation in that his team had just been relegated from the Bundesliga. Maybe there was some stuff there as well I didn’t see
I cannot see Edosie staying. We offloaded him on loan ahead of our Premiership campaign so sure he will not have any loyalty. He is good enough for the Championship yet I feel Saints have not shown any commitment. He was never recalled at a time when we needed firepower last season. I just see him being sold and getting a good sum for him.
As is so often the case with rumours about Ketchup, always important to check the sauce is reliable . Easy to say with Heinz-sight
Armel Bella-Kotchap's potential transfer from Southampton to Hoffenheim fell through after he reportedly failed a medical due to a heart issue. While the specific nature of the issue was not fully detailed, it was described as a "standard procedure" that had not previously caused problems. The leak of this information was criticized as irresponsible by Southampton's manager, Russell Martin. Despite the failed transfer, Bella-Kotchap stated that he was healthy and had undergone further tests that confirmed this. We need also to factor in this, is this why there is little interest?
Could well be. Remember his slightly odd cameo in a (League Cup?) game about a year ago? That was seen by some as an attempt by the club to prove he was still fit/breathing.
Forgot about that. A combination of failed medicals, constant injuries and massive attitude problem dont exactly scream buy me!
That was not bad luck. It was ****ing awful recruitment. A major part of selection is about attitude. Jeez, someone within SFC ****ed up big time.
