Thing is, Acun Medya is worth a fair amount of money and that's whose name is on the club, Acun isn't listed as owner, he's listed as Chairman. Obviously he owns AM, but I thought it was strange at the time that he didn't put his name on it and used his company instead. Like we weren't owned by Allam Marine when Assem was in charge. It now owns half of Sport 1 (German company that shoes EFL, SPL and a lot of other second and third tier leagues from around Europe) who broadcast a pretty big range of sports from around the world (about three quarters of a million viewers at any given time according to German stats). It also owns TV8, which is basically Turkey's version of ITV and in the top 5 of their most popular channels. I've seen varying reports of the value of Acun Medya since he took over, most of them are between €750m and €1bn. Obviously it's only worth what somebody would pay for it but even so, it's not like him ****ing off is going to do his bank account any harm, it's our club that ends up suffering if this all goes tits.
Hurty words? **** was out of order and then when he was found guilty didn't apologise and doubled down despite accepting the punishment, which you wouldn't do if you were innocent. He can get ****ed is what he can do.
Absolutely. I wish they would go further and dock us 25 points to make it fairer on the other teams who are all well run.
Just seen the coaching staff in the Hilton try to order pints with the club credit card so they’re drinking tap water instead.
And remind me, how many years did it take to find a buyer for the club when it was last put up for sale?” But yes, times are different now - malodorous Arab consortiums will be falling over themselves for the opportunity to own a club like ours.
The club was actually more attractive to potential buyers under the Allams than it is now. Back then, we had the largest FFP headroom in the entire league with two very talented and valuable academy products as assets. The FFP headroom was the main reason Acun wanted to buy City. Now we don’t have that headroom, we have a three-window fee restriction and no valuable squad assets that would net eight-figure profits. That’s all down to Acun. He’s sabotaged the club.
Genuinely, are you suggesting we don’t ask for the club to put up for sale because it may take as long as it did last time? If so why?
Man City have a right cheek asking money for Burns. Before you know it they'll be after some payment for Liam Delap.
When Baz said Acun would 'come out swinging' maybe selling his arse is the only way out of this mess.
