Yeah did well at first but it’s been painful watching him come on and do nothing for nearly two seasons. Presumably this hastens the need to sign an alternative to Pedro
Not a Duncan Ferguson/Jonathan Woodgate/Kieran Dyer sicknote, but not far off. We can't have players like that these days.
This entirely - done us a solid job over the last five years until his legs went, never created problems just not able to do it at this level anymore. Thank you and good luck!
First class pro for the club. Thanks for your time Callum. You and Maxi were the only shining lights during the dark days.
Yep. A great player when he was fit and pre the last 18 months. He was never going to sign a pay as you play deal. He will get a move to a lower PL club and likely score around 7-10 goals next season. Good luck to him. P.S does this mean we have a replacement lined up. DCL?
Sounds like it is him coming in. I'm ok with DCL coming in tbh, think he'll do a similar job in that rotational/backup role and wont take to much time away from Osula either which is a positive really.
We're about to sign DCL according to reports, so that's one out, one in on the injury prone striker front.
I ****ing LOATHE this signing. From Pedro to this ****ing clown. Useless shadow of a player, always injured, and a bit of a cock to boot. He'll last about as long as Lloyd Kelly did, what another PR clusterfuck from Newcastle, from online almost everyone I see is against the signing then on one day you get a contract for Ruddy and DCL through the door. Abysmal business.
I mean, it's getting a bit ridiculous now. "Elanga's close, Trafford's close, Scalvini under discussion, two signings in Europe under the radar" blah blah. Reality? Ruddy contract and DCL on a free.
In all honesty - it is somewhat frustrating if I believe that this is the sum of our business. It'll be fine.
Severely doubt DCL is coming in. He'll want £150k a week I suspect as it's his last big contract. Just let him go to Man U where they can pay that sort of nonsense for a completely useless player
Do we actually have any real rumours of the DCL signing? Last I heard a few days ago Man U were in for him. I don't see DCL happening at all - constant injuries, low goal return and in his late 20s now.
The same Lloyd Kelly who was here 6 months and sold for £17m profit having barely kicked a ball in anger? Sounds like class business to me Pedro fancied London and KNEW he was going to play second fiddle here. He would have been a great signing behind Isak but reality is not many strikers want to be second choice, at Chelsea he can go and fight Delap, Jackson, Nkuku, Guiu and god knows however many others for a starting spot and he’s still more likely to be the main man there than he is here. Good player but he’s not going to be a huge miss for us. Reality is Chelsea have signed 2 strikers for £100m who we were interested in to play back up to Isak.
