Aye we certainly need 2. One to be a immediate starter and one to compete with ballard who will no doubt pick up injuries

 

I’ve thought this - he was obviously great in the playoffs but you don’t know how he will cope with the transition to the PL. I still think we need 2 and hopefully at least one with some pace

 

Mind it was only two seasons ago he played nearly every game

 

Aye and hes played less than half in his 2 other seasons

Wheatsheaf is one I would 100% trust mind.

Sometimes in football players become available that you simply couldnt have predicted. If they do, and they would come, then maybe the powers that be do what they feel is right. There will be players available this summer that might well be doable. We are so far shopping in a certain bracket, with a level of risk. If we had the chance to bring in a lower risk player, but of real talent, I could see us doing that and maybe backing off on a couple of squad options at say £5m.

 

I trust wheatsheaf and not saying he’s made it up, I’m just saying I don’t think it’s true. He himself said he didn’t know if it was true. And I don’t think it is.

 

I think Ballard will make the transition to the Premier League… he has all the attributes of a top class defender… last season was unfortunate for the lad with a string of injuries and when he was fit.. the form of the team meant it was difficult for him to get back in… Ballard will be more than fine

What’s people’s thoughts on O9

people otr having a good discussion, some saying if people come in at a decent level we should sell him. I said I’d keep him here no matter what (unless he wants to go) til he retires and have him in the coaching setup

I don’t get sentimental to players

O9 has played a stupid amount of games here. Been here since the first year in league one. Done everything for the club and absolutely loves the club, not mentioning the community side.

He is one that absolutely deserves to retire here

Others said we aren’t a charity and we shouldn’t keep people for the sake of it

think it’s a good discussion and be intrigued to hear thoughts

 

Ghisolfi it seems mate

 

A mix I think. Ghisolfi isn’t a scout. He’ll have a list of names etc who he knows has watched that he’s brought with him and thinks he can make happen buts very much a team effort

 

Only sell if he wants to go. He deserves to get to choose.

And there’s no way he’d want to leave right now. Can’t wait to see him with the premier league logo on his sleeve

 

Absolutely keep 09 provided he wants to stay and is happy to be on the bench for the majority of the time. I love the lad.

 

He’s one player I’d pay a wage for as long as he wants it even if he isn’t playing

his wages won’t be massive and his off field work is phenomenal anyway

Aye completely unattainable of course but in the price bracket currently.

 

Keep. Good versatile option to have on the bench. I’d be worried if he was starting games, though.
