It did say in the echo Sunderland wanted a left sided cb and goalkeeper before Portugal so a centre back might get a here we go out of nowhere in the next week or so

 

We can hope, the left sided part I've decided I'm not going to read into and that was the echo just filling a gap to look itk because we obviously need one.

I think we will sign one of each in fairness, so maybe the LCB will come first but the only sort of half trustworthy rumblings have been Cresswell.

 

I’m hoping cresswell is the squad option. A bit like talbi

big potential big upside but not necessarily our first choice

 

I definitely think we’ll sign two centre backs. Worth remembering Ballard wasn’t even first choice most of the season last season.
