Hospital check op today. Blood test, then a Very powerful clip was attached to my nose, and it's blowing down a tube. Results came up on the computer screen in a series of bar charts, telling the consultant that after four months I was doing well. Keep it up; I have stopped as it is 37°C outside.
Arrived back in Blighty from our visit to SE Europe/ Danube. The baggage conveyors failed in Budapest, making us an hour or so late. We were all held back whilst they got a dozen or so passengers off to get their connection to Atlanta, I think BA held their plane back. Long cab back home, the delay pushed the journey into the rush hour. Finally Mrs Fez tested +ve for covid. I'm still C-ve as of 21:30, but I doubt I'll escape despite my recent jab. Just what she needs on top of her other health woes. And my Goddaughter gets married on Monday! FFS!!
One of my great friends, who I have spent many a happy hour with at our favourite restaurant, suddenly had his landline cut off. I finally got a very odd e-mail saying he could not talk about what was happening, and some would know. Asking around, no one did, but said they would ask those who might. We guessed it might well be something to do with his wife, in her 70's and suffering from dementia. That guess was correct, as she is a nursing home in England. What came as a real shock was to find out that he is in intensive care, also in England. I am not sure what will happen now, as they spent a lot of effort and money on their home here.I just hope he will recover
