Would anybody be surprised if he is a key link? Even as a regular sub and chief cheerleader from the touchline. We shouldnt underestimate the leadership group we had last year and the impact they had.
He would just about be the last person I would sell. Partly because people don't put monetary value on what he brings which is understandable but odd. But as a back up centre half and mascot there is absolutely no one out there better suited to the job.
The amount of support and encouragement he gave Chris Rigg when he was making his first appearances was amazing. It looked to really help him adapt to the men's game.
Not 1 person wants the team spirit ripped up tho Everyone has pretty much said we need to ADD quality to what weve already got Team spirit will be key this season, so will having quality players and we need to improve on that. Noone wants the team spirit ripped up though.
Yeah we are not going to get 20 new players It’s a 20 man match day squad and some of those who got us there will get their opportunities in the games
Totally, the key players from last season will stay be key players this year - they might play less but will still be key to our success
Not transfer news but… On the radio they keep on playing something about Peter Reid and a snail joke is mentioned. If you haven’t heard the joke here it is: A guy's wife in pregnant and getting cravings for unusual foods. One day she decides she just has to have snails and sends him to the store to get some. He goes downtown to the fancy seafood store and buys a bunch of live snails for making escargot. They put the snails in a paper bag and tell him to get home quickly as the bag may not last. On the way home he passes the local bar and one of his friends sees him and invites him in for drink to celebrate in expected new birth. One thing leads to another and the guy ends up staying until closing time and getting quite hammered. Finally he proceeds on home. Just as he is walking up the front steps two things happen. One, the bag finally breaks and the snails all fall out on the walk and, two, his wife opens the door and starts yelling at him and demanding to know where he has been and why it has taken so long for him to get home. The guys looks at his wife, then at the snails, then at the wife and then at the snails again. "Come on guys" he says to the snails "We're almost there. Just a few feet more." And now… Back to the transfer news…
He would be the last player I would let go, he will be integral to integrating the new lads into the squad.
Not transfer related, but these lads deserve a chance. From League 1 to Premier League. Bloody Heroes, thats what they are.
We absolutely have to give these guys their moment in the premier, especially 09 and I wouldn't mind betting he holds his own
I would agree, but every one of those players deserves a chance, not out of sentiment, but because they're good players. I doubt we would field a side with all 6 in it, but they all could have a part to play
Great move for him. Aberdeen are my local team so I’ll hopefully get to see him in action a few times this season.
That’s fair enough mate, we certainly don’t want to be down to the bare bones with suspensions or injuries.
