Fair play they are going for it. No idea what their current side looked like before the signings and how far off the top Champ teams they are. I did see something about the ex Saint Klarer who is playing for them and saying that he was PL level playing in League One
Headline in the Echo app quoting Still saying that we need to sell players before we can buy. I know we need to reduce the squad size but I thought recent news was that finances were in a better situation than this.
Yeah I think he is saying he needs to get rid of a few before bringing in anyone as we have too much (dross) in some positions.
Their squad never should have went down in the first place. They were in the play off spots before appointing Rooney weren't they?
Yeah they are obviously targeting playoffs with their moves so far. Wrexham look more like consolidating, which makes sense given the relative sizes of the clubs. Brum will have all the momentum if they can gel quickly and get on a roll then can see them top 2.
They've got quite a tough start I think so if they pick up a good amount of points early I can see them flying like Ipswich did and challenging the top 2 all season.
i think WS saying we need to sell before we buy is less to do with the finances and more to do with the number in the squad We had this last summer where we bought in players hoping more would leave but didnt manage to shift them so were left with this massive squad to manage and pay. Still really need to sell half a dozen of the fringe players plus sadly Rambo
On Brum - I think they'll be OK, not brilliant. Playoffs maybe at a push. I like what they are doing but vast majority who have done really well over recent years have dominated the ball - I dont see them being able to do that as well as the top 3 or 4 teams
I think we’ll see a ramp up now in the departures of certain fringe players over the next couple of weeks before they go to Spain on 21st July, as I’d guess Still would rather go with the players in his plans?
Edozie definitely isn't one who is on my departure list. But if the fee was to be reasonable enough, I wouldn't be against selling.
