We are often in fields with our campervan at flying events and I love doing homemade kebabs and beef dripping chips 20180527_191432.jpg

Doesn’t bother me of course, but maybe people should eat lobster instead.

More lobster is caught off Brid than anywhere else in Europe. Sadly almost 100% is exported because, presumably, they get more money, even taking into account shipping etc, than people here are prepared to pay.

Shame though because if it was sold and eaten locally it might be a good way to encourage people who like that type of thing to come here on holiday.

Our derelict village pub has recently reopened after a £1.5m refurb.

    New menu also.

    I didn't by the way.

    £1. The cheek of it.

apparently most of the sea food caught here is exported, we catch a huge amount of shellfish etc but its not really popular here

it is a bit weird that considering we are an island, sea food apart from ****ty fish and chips is not really a delicacy
how does that even make sense?

Didn't know that, I'd guess a lot of people might go to Brid for a lobster lunch but stay for a holiday? not sure about that...

I eat all manner of shellfish and fish I've always thought lobster was slightly overrated you can't beat a proper dressed crab , and by proper i mean dress it yourself, I'm now waiting for the comical reply lol

I bought one recently in Crail,Fife.

Little hut in the harbour sells them...£9 !!!! I nearly fell in the water FFS and it wasn't 'dressed' well(as you've alluded to,it's an art but sadly it died in my family when my old man did).
