Preston North End are delighted to announce Odel Offiah has joined the club on a four-year deal. The right-sided defender has made the permanent move from Brighton & Hove Albion for a seven-figure fee. The 22-year-old has been the subject of interest from several Championship clubs this transfer window, with PNE winning the battle for his signature. Odel said: “I’m delighted to be here. I can’t wait to get started. It’s obviously a massive club and I just can’t wait to play in front of the fans and show what I’m capable of. “Speaking to the gaffer here about where he sees me playing and the role I have in the team, I think we saw eye to eye in terms of how I want to develop as a footballer. His professional debut came in the Carabao Cup in August 2021, before a first appearance in the Premier League against Nottingham Forest followed in April 2023. Odel earned further experience out on loan with Heart of Midlothian and in Sky Bet League One last season with Blackpool, where he hugely impressed in his 42 appearances. Paul Heckingbottom said: “I’m really happy we’ve managed to bring Odel to the club. “He’s a young lad who wants to work hard and keep progressing.
