The gap in single lap pace has definitely shrunk between Charles and Lewis.

I mean it’s one circuit and one race, and it’s only FP. But for sure both Ferrari and particularly Lewis seem to have some real pace here. Exciting!

I think Lewis has a special extra gear that only works at Silverstone.

For sure. The way he’s handling the car today is really encouraging. He looks really confident.

Best hope Charles doesn’t work out what’s happening with his front left, if you’re a Lewis fan…!

Interesting that Lewis is super quick in S1, and Charles is super quick in S2. Now if Ferrari can work out how to meld both, they have a chance here.

Not sure if Ferrari have their revised rear suspension here. I’m guessing not, and it’s just the new floor seeing as nobody has mentioned it.

That first set between Raducanu and Sabalenka was amazing. Best I have seen from Raducanu for a long while and unlucky to have lost 7-6.
A 74 minute set as well.

    Sabalenka wins in two sets.
No disgrace losing to the No1 seed, who is one heck of a physical unit.
I suppose the difference between the top players and those aspiring to be the best is the mental aspect of their game.
In both sets Emma was a break up (4-1 in the first & think the second might have been 4-2) but each time Sabalenka reeled her in.

That was some match. Raducanu did very little wrong, probably would have been better to play Sabalenka with the roof open. Odd decision to put the match last on.

Thought Emma played a really good, brave match. Sabalenka just that bit too powerful though (my god, she's pretty dislikable too).
