My thoughts on the Bolton game

  1. I'm not over joyed with a point, as we could have been 3-0 up after about 30 mins. The goal we gave away was very sloppy. Enrique should really stop piss farting around at the back like this. Still, i'm content with a point, as at one point i thought they had scored to make it 1-2, and i shat.

Can i just ask, why wasn't Barton playing? Raylor is complete ****e. I'm sorry but his deliveries were cack, and that tackle was just typical of him. He needs to go down to a championship club, and i'd rather get rid of him then Routledge or Guthrie.

I thought Tiote was the best player by far on the pitch. Excellent standing tackles, good disperseal of the ball, and an excellent assist.

    My ratings -

Harper - 8 - Solid performance. Seems more confident about coming out of his box now. The goal wasn't his fault, couldn't have done much better.

    Simmo - 7 - Good performance

    Willo - 6.5 - A decent performance

Colo - 7.5 - Not one of his best games, but good work effort, and a decent display.

Enrique - 7.5 - On and off. I'm sick of him farting about with the ball at the back. I don't mind him trying to skin players during the attack, but at the back he's just trying to be big headed and thinks he can skin everyone. His attacking play was excellent, his defending and tittle tattling lead to their equalizer. Good performance all round though.

    R. Taylor - 2 - Pants

Nolan - 5 - Scored our only goal, but apart from that he had an absolute stinker.

Tiote - 9 - Another top class performance. Lost possession a few times, but got a good assist, made some great challenges and dispersed the ball well.

Jonas - 8 - Good performance from him. Went on some good runs, won us some corners and thrown ins, made a few decent deliveries. Nothing amazing from him, but was definetely better than some of this **** i saw today.

Best - 7 - Good performance. I couldn't tell from the gallowgate end, but did he miss a sitter? It looked like it from where i was standing.

Lovenkrands - 7 - Good attacking display, caused Bolton some problems. Suprised to see him on the pitch because i thought he was doubtful for this game.

S.Taylor - 7.5 - lol'd at him bombing down that right wing :D Get in there Stevie son! Good performance.

Ranger - 7 - Good performance. I actually thought he'd scored a last breath winner, but heart sank when i saw the flag. Oh well. Atleast he knows he can beat the keeper and hit the target in a PL match now, so it should give him a confidence boost.

    Pardew - sexy.

    MOM - Tiote because he's Tiote. :D

Why no Holden and Stud-man Tash?

Agree on the Nolan bit by the way, although without Tiote doing the defensive work he'll look very ordinary.

I think the defence has let us down near the end of the match

First of all, I'd start by switching your rating for Tiote with Enrique's.

Tiote didn't have a great game, a lot of his passes seemed panicky. Enrique on the other hand, without a doubt MOTM.

I'm sorry but this review is a joke. Barton was injured, so you can't really blame Pardew for that can you!? Ryan Taylor was decent until the sending off, yes his deliveries weren't as good as usual but he put in effort, beat players and linked the play well. Yes his tackle was poor but 2.5! Howay man, thats a joke! Colo had a great game, stopped numerous Bolton attacks that would probably have been goals. Nolan was good, scored the goal, cleared one off the line, defended well and joined the attacks. Best was really good, other than failing to score, so you're being harsh. And Tiote didn't have his best game if I'm being honest, was still decent but wasn't man of the match. Rant over :D

  7. Nolan played a part in the most vital moments, but his overall player was cack. I maybe being harsh on Raylor, but he wasn't good at all from where i was sitting. He put in one good corner and that's it.
    Stupid sending off.

I agree, the sending off was stupid but I think you are overreacting because he was good before that. And Nolan is there at the vital times, which is why he is so good and effective.

iToons - Thanks, I just thought this review was quite stupid. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but other people are entitled to disagree with it aswell.

I just wish Tash would go over to the mackems, he's a right jinx and seems to take pleasure in criticising our players when we don't win. I thought we'd win 2-1 and was sure I had a nice little touch when we hit the net the second time, I just couldn't Adam and Eve it when it was disallowed.

At the end of the day I thought that everybody had put a decent shift in and that we were unlucky just to get the one point. On another day Harps would have stopped that goal, but there you go, Lady Luck decided it wasn't to be our day. ( Along with the Ref of course! )

I'm disapointed not to get the three points, but the way i'm looking at it is we have another point on the board and we are one game closer to the end of the season

Harper was ****e IMO. He had sod-all to do nearly all game apart from take goal kicks. At 1-1 he took literally about 20-30 seconds for each kick, and in the end that must've wasted about 4 minutes or so of game time! We shouldn't be settling for draws and time wasting against **** teams like Bolton (don't care if that's disrespectful cause i hate the dirty b*****ds). Think he could've done better with the goal too, was almost straight at him.

Raylors deliveries were generally good I thought. Had a corner whipped right across the 6 yard box and can't believe nobody stuck out a leg or head. Linked up well with Simmo and Nolan too. Tackle was stupid, could see from where I was in the Leazes that it was dangerous and he deserved to walk. Our team sure has it in for Elmander!

Referee was a disgrace, if Raylor walked, then surely the guy who halved Tiote should've also walked but no, he gives a yellow despite his back being turned?!? If he genuinley hasn't seen it, he should give nothing then give out a three match ban at the end after reviewing it as he would've surely received had he seen the incident?

Best played well, unlucky to be denied a few times by Jaskeelainen and had a good shot miss by a few inches.

Nolan had a shocker I thought (apart from the goal), and Tiote (his assist aside) played quite badly for him, gave possession away numerous amounts of times, but the made up for it by winning it back more often than not.

Lovenkrands as a winger is totally ineffective but looked ok up front. Wish he'd learn to get on the end of Best's flicks, was winning nearly all the headers in the first half.

Overall, think if Raylor hadn't got the red then we would've stormed on to victory, but we played too deep and invited them forward. Not our day.
Onwards and Upwards still, at least the mackems lost :D
