I’ve quoted it before but Roy Keane tells the story He wanted Jonny Evan’s at Sunderland Evans was on ten grand a week at Man U Man U charged a million quid loan fee And Evan asked for twenty grand a week!! And got it Roy went mad at him and he went Roy I read your book and you said know your worth and ask for the max!! So that was probably fifteen years ago!!
I believe we were informed of the provisional embargo on Monday afternoon, and we submitted documentation and appealed then, but they applied the sanction effective from today anyway. So your timeline needs to start on Monday.
A transfer fee restriction this window still ****s us. The new coach will have his hands tied even more than Walter’s was last summer.
Me neither. ‘Best case scenario’ is it gets reduced to one window, Acun claims a victory and his moronic cultists on here swallow it up lmao.
Interesting to hear. We live in hope. I hope you're right, we move forward and the club (Acun) learn some lessons. Interesting that Smailes' suggest even in the best case we have an embargo this window but are keen to get the fee punishment lifted. If so I imagine we'll try and get players out the door and then 'staff up' via loans with obligations (always end well), that aligns with the Frigan reports last night. It's the double punishment that will hold us back this year. If you remove the embargo but keep the fee punishment at least we could sign free agents. We need a smaller squad anyway but would need players out sharpish.
That's what I'm saying. Notice on Monday. Two day window. Wednesday (latest Thursday) we should be up on the EFL listing. But we're not. The temporary embargo looks to be separate to the two business day window (48 hours as per Smailes). I think the club think they can get this all sorted before we get properly listed on Monday/Tuesday. Today being the first business day and Monday the second.
Adam Pearson, the time the club were really in the doohday, stated, "Administration was not an option. There was nothing to administer". That applies now.
If the lawyers are any good, they should be arguing for a points deduction in lieu of any fee restriction windows and use Sheffield United’s case last year as precedent.
Even if it actually was a storm in a teacup he’d already been tried and found a total fraud. Said it all along and I’m so happy to be proved right and everyone else can finally see it. Acun OUT
Think you're probably putting too much stock in when their website is updated. The club have confirmed it anyway. That's not to say there isn't scope for it to be reduced or removed if we can prove financial stability. But I assume there'd need to be some sort of EFL oversight for that to happen.
