Looks a bit clumsy from this video, but some intelligent play, as ever hard to judge on YouTube, but I keep trying <laugh>

Got a bit of physicality about him, and good awareness of what's around. Not afraid to have a dig either, which we cry out for. He's not going to be a reincarnation of SRL, but that doesn't mean he's a bad signing. It's a step up from TP, put it that way.

But then he’s 9 years younger than Rickie was when we signed him, and might just have a higher ceiling.

Once again another four year contract instead of five. It seems like we either very rarely offer them or players won’t sign them as it allows us to hold them for longer if someone wants to buy. The latter doesn’t really make sense because we are not really known for refusing to let our players go

Fair point. When Rickie was his age, he was midway through a League Two season where he only finished the campaign with eight goals, having blanked in the previous season and been released from Blackpool a year earlier than that

"Best skills and goals" - I did skip a few parts but I saw a total of zero goals... He's a perfect fit!

Only joking, as always let's get behind our players and hope they can flourish!

Kinda reminds me of how Adebayor or Kanu used to play, tall, physical, fairly quick, decent technically, can feed other attackers but most importantly will go for goal any chance he can. Hopefully he can hit the sort of form they did!!

From what I’ve seen (highlights) like someone else said, seems to have good awareness. This could be key if we have more numbers forward with the press.

Best endorsement is he was clearly Spors' primary forward target. If we are going to build anything over the next 5 years, Spors' network needs to come up trumps and getting preferred targets is important.

Lost count of good forwards we've been strongly linked with, haven't managed to sign and have gone on to be brilliant elsewhere whilst we've panicked and had to settle for dross.

There was a time where it seemed we had targets and if we couldn’t get any of them then we didn’t just panic and sign anyone. But that unfortunately happened too many times in a row (notably with attackers) until panic became inevitable and worked out just like you would expect

So it’s good news he was apparently the top target. What was the third position we were apparently definitely getting regardless of sales? It was either attacking or creative midfielder and I can’t remember which nor am I sure whose spot in the team this new player would be looking at taking

Interesting that it’s been very quiet on that. I’m assuming we are working on more than one deal at a time!

Creative midfielder were Solak's words on what Spors had asked for

That really could mean anything since you can create from either advanced or deeper positions. But one for the other thread

Have we had many American players in the past?

    Kasey Keller, anyone else?

Noel Buck was with the U21's for a spell last season but he went back to the US.
