What's left to recruit? 1x GK, 1x CB, 1x CM, 1x winger (both sides) and 1x striker Approx £20m on a striker, approx £20m on a keeper and I'd say we'll be looking for loans or smaller fees for the other 3.
Its not my money and I don't know what budget we've given ourselves but I think we'll spend £10m+ on both, and on a centre back.
1 x big money keeper (x2 if Patto goes on a smaller fee) 1x backup RB 2 x CB (1 bigger money left sided and one more squad option) 1 X cm squad options (x2 if neil leaves with a bigger money DM) 1 x rotation left wing 1x big money RW 1x striker (potentially bigger fee by the looks)
By my count we're at about 107-110m Euros spent if we spend 40m total on a Striker and GK. That does include Le Fee. By my own baseless speculation, I'd give us a potential ceiling of 150m Euros so still plenty to get a big winger in and a few small transfers as well. Obviously not including wages etc.
I'm still thinking net spend £80m. Tommy Watson and Jobe leaving, and Enzo and Diarra coming in we're roughly £6m spent. Approx £17m on Sadiki, if we go for two more players in the £20m region, we're sitting at £63m spent. If we need three more, that's £17m left over for the three. We will also sell some players for smaller fees, potentially including Patto, which could bring in a few quid towards that budget. I feel good about my prediction of £80m as things stand.
I'd be well up for a couple of loans but they'd have to be gamechangers. None of this Jayden Danns nonsense. I'm talking Barcelona or Real Madrid youngsters on the fringes of their first team. edit - I know the irony here is Jayden Danns is on the fringes of Liverpool's first team but I hope my point is understood. They need to be players better than what we can afford.
I think we'll spend a bit more, plus we also have minor sales like Ekwah, Triantis, Browne, Pembele, Hemir, Ba and others etc that may add up to another £10m or so.
Galatasaray will revise its offer for Petrovic to 5 million euros for a loan + 17.5 million euros for a mandatory purchase. In addition to Sunderland, another Premier League team is preparing to join the transfer race, while Chelsea still demands 30 million euros for the player. That’s never another fan page is it
I reckon we might go to 100-120m net spend. We'll be banking on selling one or more of them for a big fee next summer even if we stay up.
