This is ideal Summer. It’s when it starts getting to 35+ it’s a bit much. Off to Crete in a bit where it’s similar but then Athens where it’s going to be a real **** in the high 30s. Bloody people these days don’t know they’re born. In ‘76 it was 400 degrees and I had to carry my grandfather home in a bowl after he melted in the street. And I was back at work in the mines the next day.
Been giving this ebike a few different range tests. Did an offroad one got almost 40 miles over a mix of rocky paths, bridleways and gravel tracks, with a few crazy hills and technical sections thrown in first test on the tarmac today 22 miles and have 75% of the battery left. Battery discharge isn’t linear though and drops off more as the voltage drops towards the end of the battery life. But I reckon it will be good for 50+ miles on the tarmac on one charge. That was with 1100m of climbing too, so plenty of challenging hills.
