Fans deserted this club in their thousands when previous regimes hit the financial buffers. We appeared at the High Court on three occasions to face winding up orders and each time our fanbase was down to the 3,000 hardcore, of which I was one. So let's not kid ourselves that our current fanbase will remain loyal, especially so if there is any hint of wrong doing. The most worrying thing for me is the line about local suppliers not being paid. That is local people, local companies and local jobs. If we cannot afford to buy a centre forward because we are skint, then fair enough, fans can accept that but as a club we should not be dodging paying for stuff and services we have received from local companies.
There is always “ every cloud, silver lining and all that “at least no points reduction…. At the moment…., just need 50points to stay up this season!!!!
Should just lock this thread & let it die a death! Before someone says we should bring back the Allams!
Er yes? I'm terribly sorry I was asleep earlier but is there a reason you've name checked me? When Steven and M88 said we were in the **** I said it didn't make sense as we'd just committed to buying puerta. When people said acun was selling up regardless of division I also questioned it. I expressed concern about the late payment of wages but said it's only if it happens a second time that it's a red flag. Not quite sure what your "gotcha" is about here..?
Other than being skint what’s stopping Maribor signing a few players and then loaning them to us for zero fee?
Apologies to anyone I’ve argued with in support of the chairman. You were right. Hopefully he tries to save face by moving us on and leaving by cutting his losses.
I didn't think we were bankrupt or going into admin and I still don't. I do think, as I have for a while, that acun needs to go. I lose track though, some claim I'm anti acun and others say I defend our financial position too much.
I was told of two fairly specific incidents of non-payment of infrastructure investments in February. It was put down to the chairman being a bad customer more so than not having the cash. Clearly it was a cash issue.
Seemingly so. Much like this will too, the non-payment of the infrastructure incidents ended up costing more to solve than it would’ve done by just paying it.
As is always the way. We reported an issue at our development to the developers and they dragged their feet and now its a bigger issue.
It'd be too obscure for you in fairness, so I'll hold back on the whooshers, but the original poster was referencing a British TV advert from the 80s
Probably checking the receipt for the guarantee Jokes aside. It's a bad day for the club. And it's owner. The veil is slipping.
