I think Baz Cooper is fine at his job , he's a local football reporter Not sure what some people expect
I went to the Maldives once about 18 years ago, hated it, first day was ok nice ocean views but from day 2 I was bored as ****kkk. No pubs or restaurants to walk too, just imprisoned in a garden shed on stilts. Never again.
I've been twice and love it. I am mad for swimming and snorkelling though so it's like paradise for me. If you aren't a fan of water then there's pretty much nothing to do.
I think you're spot on. Lets say you work in hospitality and enjoy in. I'm sure you dislike it when it's super busy even though thats probably a good thing. We want to know about transfers because it's our passion, he reports on it because it's his job nothing more. I'm sure he prefers mid-season with pre-match, match report, post match rather than chasing transfer leads, prepping articles for players who never sign, can guarantee he's has a O'brien, Barry, McBurnie article in his drafts that we may never see.
Well, that was a bit of a rant, prompted by a light-hearted comment about a bloke being able to do remote working! I have no idea why he's in the Maldives, or who is paying him, or what the t&c's of his various contracts are. But regardless of all that I'm pretty sure if someone texted him some juicy gossip about City he'd act on it even though he's meant to be reviewing some hotel or other. Personally I have no beef with Baz, I'm sure he does the best he can.
Is this in addition to McBurnie? I’d rather him on a free then £7m on someone unproven, no matter how good he is
Also, €7 million seems like a lot for us (and it is) but Westerlo signed him from Rijeka a few years ago for €5.5 million and his stock has risen in a tougher league. Still young too. Sunderland were going to sign him on loan with an obligation-to-buy for €15 million in January if they got promoted. If that deal came off he’d be a €15 million Premier League player right now. Westerlo’s initial asking price this summer was €10 million. If it’s true, it’s a very good deal for us.
I would guess this would be in addition to McBurnie, he seems to play off the right hand side a lot and cut in on to his left foot. Which would have us crying out for a really attacking fullback overlapping. Would suit Drameh tbh.
This is the kind of striker signing we’ve been needing to make for about the past 10 years. He’ll probably still be a flop as there seems to be a curse on strikers in a Hull City kit.
