It is indeed at least surprising that so few of our links in the press have been wingers. That said we’ve actually had very few new weeks this week. After 6 on Sunday alone there’s only been one or two since
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised to see us playing in a proper 4-3-3, with 3 "forwards" rather than wingers like we did in the championship - a bit like how Liverpool line up with maybe Mundle closer to the other 2 rather than playing wide
Yeah, but even he seems like someone who could play as a left 10 or even as the striker on occasions. He seems to have the kind of flexibility to play multiple positions that we are targeting.
He’s going nowhere ……… mainly because he’s injured I love him though we don’t get to Wembley without him
He’s been part of an excellent defensive pairing with both Dan and Mepham. He deserves a chance. I think it’s great how far he’s come, from a tentative start after rushing up here from Wycombe he’s now a Premier League footballer and I couldn’t be happier for him. My thoughts are he will feature a lot but mostly from the bench. How must he feel being a part of a squad with these new quality guys coming in. Many will think he’s not good enough but he’s proved them all wrong by meeting all the challenges so far. As well as that he’s such a great bloke and must be wonderful to have around for the morale of the squad (and any dogs)
Sadiki was barely linked or if at all to us and now look at us I'm sure there winger or wide forward deals being looked at
Think our whole transfer business has been superb. I know little of the players, but the point is, you hear nothing of players being linked, then Ramano posts “here we go”!!
That's pretty much the current squad once the 2 seemingly done deals are announced. I've left off the returning loanees and players who didn't play a significant role last season (apart from Huggins). Can see we need CBs and wingers.
Just had Achilles surgery, and is having his other done in a couple of weeks. Don’t think he’s injured himself or anything, more something that was planned for the end of the season sort of thing for an ongoing problem.
when you consider Browne and Harrison Jones were on the bench for the playoff final, and most of us wouldn’t expect either of them to play in the premier league, you could argue that we actually need two more midfielders. As we’ve lost two, plus them two to be replaced, equals 4 new ones
I wouldn't be surprised if Browne is kept around. I don't think he was very good last season but i'm not sure a Championship club will pay a fee for him, plus he seems well liked and offers a bit of versatility. Jones I hope gets a good loan.
