Verse 14 of Surah Ibrahim in the Quran states: "And We will surely cause you to dwell in the jail after them. That is for he who fears My position and fears My threat." Hehe
Calling for the death en masse of tens of thousands of people just isn't the same thing as calling something out. The Gooner is being investigated for an incitement to violence and that is precisely what it was. The most damning part is that in his statement on social media after the uproar, Pascal Double-barrelled-surname from Ipswich phrased it as follows: "We are for the dismantling of a violent military machine." Now, I get that it isn't easy to work that into a nice catchy chant that a bunch of pampered ****s high on crack can master, but if Pascal from Ipswich had phrased it like that, I'd have zero problem with it. Unfortunately he has made his career as a lyricist. Words and phraseology is supposedly his craft. So he of all people should understand that there is a world of difference between calling for the IDF to be dismantled, and calling for all of its soldiers to die.
You probably won’t agree with this, but I don’t think he was calling for the death of thousands of soldiers. I think it was a hard hitting chant designed to grab attention and call for the dismantling of a military machine that is out of control. But like you say, that isn’t really a catchy lyric.
What part of death death to the IDF didn't you think was calling for the death of thousands of soldiers then? . please log in to view this image
