Morning all Schmidt hasn’t been given a chance, Ramazani is a decent player who Farke doesn’t seem to rate. Cresswell is wanted by several clubs including Sunderland and West Ham I’m a bit lost as to why Farke allows some decent quality to leave, we’re after Fofana now, bit precarious wanting a keeper who’ll be missing for the African cup
There looks a player in Ramazzani but his fitness and tactical responsibilities were a concern. Schmidt also looked tidy but by all accounts wasn’t showing enough in training earlier in the season, later on he started to get game time but it was interesting that it was higher up the pitch than the position(s) we thought he’d been signed for. He looks slight… I wonder whether they concluded he didn’t have it physically as a full back in English football and tried to adapt him. None of us are there on the training ground every day. We got 100 points. Not sure we can be too picky over who the manager gave game time to.
I got the impression Creswell wanted game time or demanded to leave. is he better than our two new signings? Genuinely I don’t know, but I certainly didn’t think he was better (at the time) than the guys who played ahead of him for us. Would have been good to have kept him in the squad… but we didn’t. It happens.
Lyon's Brazilian shot-stopper Lucas Perri is being hotly linked with us. After being relegated due to financial irregularities, Leeds have been quick to pounce on the the 6ft 6 monster! Lyon are appealing their relegation, which may hold things up, and are still in touch with Angers regarding the highly rated Yahia Fofana, who is available for just £6m due to his length of contract (12 months remaining). Nick Pope would set Leeds back £20m and £100k a week, which seems a little expensive. The other option would be to take Arron Ramsdale on a 12 month no obligation loan. Alfie House told me that he is desperate to stay in the Prem at all costs, and Saints would consider a loan move.

Sunderland fans are having a great time feeling the players are choosing them over us, they might be, more likely we have several options and we’re not willing to pay over the odds. I wasn’t convinced about Sidiki and I wasn’t totally sold on Habib either, I had to Google/Wiki each The danger is you slowly get beaten to all the targets and waste an entire transfer window or end up with 3rd and 4th choices Sunderland are doing what I thought we’d do, get the bigger fee players in swiftly before others start sniffing The only annoying aspect is we’ve had long enough to know what the fees would be, if we disagreed with it the interest should have stopped there and then and not waste any further time
