Yeah good spot. Was about to throw my toys out the pram and say it all looks a bit primary school and then realised that it all looks a bit… well, primary school.
Membership details announced. Quite a jump between the standard and plus option though you do get a free ticket. Presumably they'll have to limit those plus ones.
Anyone here with Memberships experience? Not renewed my ST because it's getting harder for my old man with all the travelling involved from where he lives, and I've just moved house, so will be picking and choosing a game or two each month this season instead. Is it necessary to get one? I will likely just get us the standard memberships if so
I'd probably grab one if I were you as if we're doing well a lot of games will sell out quickly I imagine. I certainly don't see the skates going past members.
I guess it depends if you're aiming for any away games this season. Obviously there are certain games where you have no chance without a ST but membership will give you higher priority for cup games as well. I used to be a member before becoming a ST holder and I think it was worth it. Also, I'm not sure the South Coast derby at St Mary's will make it to general sale.
I think very few aways will go to members this season, especially first half of the season. Probably Blackburn and Sheffield United only ones. Re home games there'll likely be 4-5k available for each match excluding STH and away.
I'd have thought there will be more than that available. We have to give 2k minimum to away, leaving 30k. I doubt we will sell much more than 20k season tickets, I don't think we are actually allowed to sell much more than that.
I still think we'll give aways 3k as I see no way to segregate it with the new away end (though I'm sure skates will get less for segregation). Said last season this was short sighted of the club. We'll definitely sell more than 20k season tickets too, probably already have. Not sure of the EFL but the PL limit is 80% of capacity which would work out at roughly at 24k. Brum have sold more than 20k in a smaller ground for this season. As an aside anyone know what the actual capacity is these days?
Just had a quick count on the website and there's currently 5818 seats available to buy as season tickets. So there's your number minus any further season tickets sold. Not a bad guess by myself I must say!
Probably going to get myself a membership (despite me being so against them), if only for the Pompey game to be honest.
Don't think there's anything wrong with the memberships themselves. It's the two levels I don't like. I reckon even with a membership you'll have to be on the ball for the skates game. Presumably the plus members get first dibs too?
Yeah I think so, too; be like the Wembley queue all over again If I wasn't buying a house, I'd have very much bought a season ticket by now to be honest!
I think if someone is likely to go to one of the included games for plus membership anyway then it's probably worth buying that tbh. Ticket be roughly around the £35 difference anyway I assume?
