Simon Jordan’s no 1 target for anyone looking to buy a club apparently, so things could get worse for them!!!!
I've just realised that FA Cup QF weekend falls on the Easter bank holiday weekend. The best weekend of the EFL season. Any EFL club who makes it the QF will presumably therefore have both their league matches moved.
TV changes up until the end of September tomorrow so will have confirmation of when the Derby is. Fully expecting Sunday at midday. Wonder how many Saturday 3pm KO's will remain. Hoping Hull does as getting up there for 12:30 will be a nightmare.
I've been following what's going on at Sheffield Wednesday and it's absolutely devastating to see what that **** of an owner Chansiri has done to such a historic club. Having been on the brink ourselves not that long ago, my heart goes out to the Wednesday fans who are fearing the worst. They're saying that even if they do manage to field a team this season, it's going to be an absolute farce, gettering battered week in week out. I really hope they find their Markus before it's too late.
Yeah it's horrific. Luckily FFP was brought in to prevent owners ruining clubs like this. Problem they have compared to us is the lack of infrastructure. They don't own the ground and it needs substantial amounts spent on it to retain its safety certificate in coming years.
And Leicester fan channels are convinced they’re going to get Rohl as their new manager. Can’t see that being done quickly as can’t see the Sheff Wed owner reducing the release clause? Also watched the PSR expert bloke saying that Leicester could get 2 deductions this year, one from the last accounts then another one in March from last season accounts. Also said EFL will be watching them closely this season, but I have a sneaky feeling that they’ll get away with it again?
Hopefully will still take a bit of time, as the longer it takes the more it would benefit us? Even then, theyre going to be in a position we were a while ago, where they’ll be paying 3 managers at once, unless they’ve agreed to pay off, though that wouldn’t be cheap as heard RVN was around £2 million? and Coopers must be decent as he hasn’t taken another job yet?
From what I read they are going to get the book thrown at them because of the fact they escaped via a technical loophole last time. It always seems to take ages so it may not even happen until closer to the end of the season though.
Apparently 6 unnamed Sheffield Wednesday players have given notice to quit, as a result of not being paid for 2 consecutive months, or it might have been for not being paid on time. Do they have anyone who could do a job for us?
Maybe Shea's brother, Pierce Charles, decent GK. Sounds like we've already poached one of their academy players.
