Coventry fans are in for a massive shock in my opinion. They're totally convinced they're 'contenders' this season, believing they need to extend the stadium and even thinking Lampard can get them into the top two. Their form in April and May was dreadful, they only scraped in because the likes of Boro, West Brom, etc, fell to pieces. Unless they bring in half a dozen better players I don't see them making 6th place.
Not at all, it's a common theme. They're talking about 'top two', how the squad is easily top six, how the whole club is 'taking off', SC sales through the roof, stadium not big enough. All this because half a dozen playoff contenders fell apart, at the end, and Coventry scraped up. Their form stunk at the end but they really believe Lampard will lead them to glory.
Decent championship side who’ll be in the play off picture again, is how I see them. They’ve got some good players for the level they’re at
This is a typical post form 10am this morning, they're really getting carried away imo. "Very true. Stamenic wasn’t it. Probably the reason sheaf ended up staying. I have totally faith in Doug and Frank tbh and it’s weird saying that but I have total faith. Season tickets have all but sold out so we have backed the club financially and in numbers. We don’t sign many duds let’s be honest and Frank will undoubtably have a pull on certain players. I think many fans forget we finished 5th and actually don’t need much. If we don’t lose anyone then we only need 2-3 players. Above all give me a goalie. It would be a disaster going in to the season with Collins and Wilson."
I really can't wait to see how Coventry start the season, I think they're top 10 but sill struggle for the playoffs. The Coventry fans are becoming really hysterical over their chances, despite how ordinary they are. They're currently claiming they'll win their first SEVEN games '21 points. I’m ****ing telling you all, we win all 7 to start the season.' please log in to view this image
They won nine out of fifteen in the run in. Firm did drop off but two of the five losses were Burnley and Sheffield Utd so not exactly stinking form. They need a good centre forward, keeper and better central defence but they’re not in bad shape to push for play offs again.
I remember when Harry Redknapp walked out on Pompey to relegate Southampton, then went back to Portsmouth. Ultimate ****housery
Didn’t realise Will Still had went to Southampton, just seen a video of him taking training and was a bit confused
